iOS 16.4 RC 版本已经发布，9to5Mac 通过深入挖掘发现了一款尚未发布的“Beats Studio Buds+”耳机。另一方面，开发者 @aaronp613 则在系统代码中发现了型号为 A3048 的 AirPods 耳机、以及型号为 A2968 的 AirPods 保护套。
9to5Mac 发现，这款“Beats Studio Buds+”耳机和 2021 年发布的 Beats Studio Buds 一样，具备主动降噪和通透模式。

该耳机支持 Hey Siri 等功能，最初该媒体认为会采用 Apple AirPods 专有的 W1 / H1 芯片，不过后续和消息源沟通后，表示新的 Beats Studio Buds+ 仍将使用定制的 Beats 芯片，而不是 Apple 的 H1 / H2。
至于新款 AirPods 的部分，由于 Apple 在 2021 年更新了 AirPods 产品线，MacRumors 报道认为，Apple 现阶段不会推出新的 AirPods 产品。

相关代码虽有提及新款 AirPods，但目前没有相关爆料表示苹果会推出新款 AirPods。报道中还认为下一款 AirPods 的充电接口可能会从 Lightning 端口切换到 USB Type-C 端口。
